|International HIV/AIDS Alliance is currently seeking applications for its Rapid Response Fund, providing funding when a rapid intervention is necessary to address barriers preventing LGBT people and MSM from accessing HIV services.
Types of Grants
The Funding is available through two types of grants:
Emergency Response Grants: available to support activities that respond to immediate and urgent threats to the LGBT community, and where action must happen very quickly to be effective.
Grants of up to a maximum of US$20,000 are available for interventions that respond to situations or events that threaten the health and safety of LGBT people and MSM or their access to HIV services.
In order to be eligible for a grant, an organisation must
be based in one of the eligible countries, and

Applicants are required to complete an application form for either of the two grants types, available on the website.
East and Southern Africa: Botswana, Ethiopia, Kenya, Lesotho, Malawi, Mozambique, Namibia, Rwanda, South Africa, South Sudan, Swaziland, Tanzania, Uganda, Zambia, Zimbabwe
West and Central Africa: Angola, Cameroon, Cote d’Ivoire, DRC, Ghana, Mali, Nigeria, Senegal, Sierra Leone
Latin America and the Caribbean: Dominican Republic, Guyana, Haiti, Jamaica, Trinidad & Tobago
Note: Emergency Response Grants are available on an ongoing basis while, Challenge Response Grant applications are assessed every two weeks.
